Great everywhere! we ordered appetizer corn nuggets (awesome! entrees chicken fried steak dinners the pig dog dinner (also awesome.)! our server was very friendly. will definitely visit again when in the opposite!
We were in the city shopping at paul michael and wanted to eat before they went back to austin, so we made a Yelp search and this place was very rated. when we entered, I was a little uncertain, but by the time we left, I understood why the reviews are so high. While it seemed empty when we arrived at 4:15, almost everyone was taken place and I know that it is not just because eating really is really good, but the customer service from the hostess to the waitress is real and so friendly. michelle was our waitress and she was fantastic and definitiw earned her 25% drinking money. she was very friendly, very attentive, offered great suggestions and could wait for several tables at once without being stressed and her smile never smiling. the food was so good, we took rest to the house! we had the fried pickles, surfing and shaking with grilled garnels, the welsplatte, by-products, loaded baked kartoffels, chicken meat with brown gravy, chocolate mingue pipe, Italian cream cake and the chocolate eruption cake. everything was fried, hot and fresh, the steak was perfectly prepared medium rare and the salads were fresh. I recommend her home made bleu cheese dressing. the rolls that accompanied each plate were fresh, warm and had a light taste of honey butter, so no additional butter was needed. the desserts. all three were amazing, but the Italian cream cake was one of the best I ever had. the rest of the next day we diceed into our air shelf and eaten every bite. I recommend jw and when we come back to do more shopping, we will definitely come back and I hope to see michelle again and I hope they have crystals hot soße!
Seemingly the round top antique messe begins so that the place was hoppin? on a Tuesday night. I thought that was a good sign. host (I was told that a possible owner can be) was rude, did not take any names in the order of arrival or sitting in order. waitress, hurry, but polite. unfortunately the wee is served in a cheap generic glass not a red or white weinglas. wein- 20 acres cabernet sauvignon unexpected jammy. very light nase and tannins, dark fruits, klempner, planting, noticeable. 18 ounces black angus prime rib suck perfectly boiled, but they salt the hell out of it. had to scrape it off to throttle it, not sure how this is considered prime for $60! I wouldn't pay more than $25! I have starved and it was late, so I have eaten most of them, but not all. the kartoffels were in order, green beans were simply a little over boiled and crushed into too much oil/butter, they were slimy. Roll-served room pace, maybe a king? Hawaiian roll or similar generic business purchased mass produced sweet roll, definitiw not fresh baked. no butter served. the bill without asking if I was done or if I wanted to dessert. I didn't finish my meal, eat enough to be hungry anymore. I will not risk any other train wreck for dessert. I should have tried the burger. if I were the owner or cook, I would be ashamed for this meal. they have offered a very nice discount, but I will not risk a second trip for this price. I have tipped the full original price. I wish them happy, but on the basis of this meal it is not worth the journey of brenham, if bt longhorns is just as good or better for less.
Onion rings weren't fried enough. Had to send my filet back because it was over cooked. The second one was under cooked. The third one was ok, by the time it got to the table my sides were cold and l was hot. Then the waitress said they would comp us a dessert. The manager was there and knew what was going on and said and did nothing. Very disappointed.
