Fieldhead - Charnwood

Upon arriving at The Fieldhead, we were warmly greeted by the staff. They were kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Our pet friendly room was clean, spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning in the future.

My experience at The Fieldhead for Sunday lunch in early February was disappointing. We have dined there multiple times before, but this visit was the most disappointing yet. We were seated at a table near the front door, causing us to feel a cold draft every time someone entered. The table was sticky and appeared to not have been properly cleaned. The service was fast, but the atmosphere was lacking. I ordered the salmon main course, which was a small portion with too much hollandaise sauce and an overwhelming amount of watercress. It was not worth the price. My partner had the beef Sunday lunch, which was tough and had undercooked potatoes. We were not satisfied with the meal. Although our bill was brought promptly, we had to wait over 10 minutes before realizing that no one was coming to take payment. We ended up paying at the bar, while other tables had their bills settled at their seats. Overall, we feel that the food quality has declined over the past year, the service is inconsistent, and the building is run-down and in need of attention.

Having not been here for a while due to a bad experience. Food and service were both shocking. However, we called in today to give it another try. This has got to be the best Greene king pub. The food was absolutely fantastic as was the service. We had scampi, sirloin and Mac n cheese. All came out piping hot and fresh. Couldn’t fault any of it. The Sunday lunch looked fabulous too.

Had dinner and stay over, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, hotel check in lady (sorry didn't get your name) was really nice made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in served by Toni for dinner amazing service cannot thank you both enough for the effort made, food was 10/10 all in all a great stay and we will most certainly be returning

The staff at this restaurant is always very friendly and professional. I feel well taken care of every time I visit, which is 28 days out of the month. Their exceptional service truly makes me feel at home.
