Went there for a business lunch based on Gooding review but it was so so. The pintade was pretty strange and vegetables not great at all. The fish lieu was correct but nothing special. For a fooding recommandation this was below expectation clearly
Great idea to give the whole dish (in our case rillets) to served yourself! Also puree from topinambour were served on our wish. The restaurant is really big and the service efficient! I found it really cosy and the best was the number of old people who enjoyed their meal there. Nice to see a cantine style on one of the rooms (big table with the banches)Keep going like this! A bientot!
After months of works, the place offers now a new look, with still the same quality of food of course.A couple of tables outside in the patio offer the possibility to have drinks and finger food while enjoying the first sunny days at the end of the winter. We had a few poached scampi served with mayonnaise, then some home-made black pudding (excellent) and to finish, crayfish served with mashed potatoes.Decent size, but not too much, allowing you to enjoy a great cheese board, and/or beautiful desserts. The chocolate ganache is absolutely divine!Choice of different French wines from all regions, allowing you to discover some beautiful terroirs: Cote rotie, Corsica or Pic Saint Loup ...A very good selection of wines by the glass, with for example an excellent Bandol, red.The service was pleasant, and the Chef takes time to come and exchange a few words with many customers, always adding up a nice touch to your meal.I almost forgot, you can now enjoy a hammam before your meal!Bookings are highly recommended.
Paris traffic is legendary but this restaurant is worth the drive. It's a bit away from the city center in a neighborhood and has the feel of a local meeting and dining place. There were a couple of guys playing handball in a small inner courtyard when we arrived. The chef was out front talking with some friends. It was all very welcoming and laid back. We were a group of six and decided to eat on the main floor. Upstairs there is a buffet which we took a look at. It looked great but so did the price fixed menu of €42. I had the lobster bisque. Incredible and obviously a long slow cooked stock. Very rich and complex. A friend had the chilled watercress soup. Excellent. Next I had the foie gras confit. I was amazed at the large portion served and it was beyond decadent. Really some of the best I have ever had. Main courses were Brandade, Roast Pigeon. Roast Cod, Lamb Chops and one other I don't recall. We ordered everything. I had the cod which was perfectly prepared with a crispy skin and juicy flaky meat. We also ordered every dessert on the menu and all were fabulous. There wasn't one single negative comment from anyone in the group. The service was great. There isn't a lot of English spoken but just enough that we had no difficulty. Knowing just a little French can help identify the menu items.
