Roanoke - Chicago

The food here is 3 stars. Why?? I remember Roanoke before the pandemic. The food was excellent then. Now, their food options are limited, and the quality is average. Their smoothie machine has been broken for years, but they still have Green Smoothie on their menu! I usually have their avocado toast with a side of eggs when I am in the area, and even that is now lackluster. As for cleanliness and service, I would rate that as a 5.. I guess that 's why I still visit but only on occasion these days.

For being in the loop, the food is pretty good and the portions are massive compared to price. Love coming here before a theater show!

The food is super tasty! There were a few things that were unfortunate of course.. at the time we visited there was a renovation going on at the hotel and it created some discomfort getting to the restroom, also a lot of menu items were out as well.. but overall the deliciousness of the food made up for all the discomfort

Prime Rib with truffle mashed potatoes is a must! Great service! We will be back.

Went here for the first time with my husband for a date night before seeing the nutcracker. Great experience all around! We shared the Roanoke salad to start which was delicious, not overdressed, very hearty. Then I got the rotisserie chicken which was moist and flavorful, and my husband had the steam frites, cooked to the perfect temperature (maybe could’ve been a little more flavorful), but the fries were great! I’m gluten free and this was no problem for them to accommodate, a lot of the menu items are already GF. Good service, great ambience. I would definitely go back and recommend!
