Awakening is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Not only do they have great coffee, but they also have wine, beer and cocktails. They have tempting pastries, and yummy breakfast and lunch sandwiches. You can sit inside, on their patio, or in the back yard.Owners Ann and Joe and their staff have created a wonderful community space at their shop. They bring in food trucks and musical performers, and host networking groups and open-mic nights. They are dog-friendly and a convenient place for bicyclists to take a break.Ann and Joe have invested so much time, energy and money to make Oak Grove a lively and vibrant place worth visiting. They know that a great community creates a great environment for businesses.Oh, did I mention that they are great people who make great coffee?

I’m in Awakening Coffee at least once a week, and I love it! The coffee is hot, bold, and delicious. The pastries, sandwiches, bacon, and sausage are all prepared to perfection. When it comes to service, it doesn’t get any better than what owners, Ann Joe, and their terrific staff provide. Awakenings is our favorite place to bike to and have a delicious coffee and the most amazing BLT on the planet. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend if you enjoy quality coffee and food and friendly smiles!!
