The Fry's and onion rings were ok. However, the service was great.

I have been stopping at Dan's for a decade. Great food, no matter what you order. Try the poutine.Kid-friendliness: No problem.
Just passing through town, the Chip Pit appeared to be closed, so this was my next option. Approaching the truck, it looked depressed and unappealing with horrible hand-painted signs and huge cobwebs and a bird's nest right above the order window. There was absolutley no care for appearance or impression of the exterior. I was very unoriginal, ordering just french fries and a hamburger. The burger was fine, nothing special. Toppings were fresh and the patty tasted like beef and not filler. The fries were also fine, but again, nothing to write home about. I discovered a couple of picnic tables behide the trailer. The plastic table cloths were so worn and faded, they look like they had been there for years. Again, no effort had been made to make the area and tables appealing or inviting. I rated the food as average but the exterior was a complete fail.
