Fishbone Seafood - Compton

I wanted to support this business, but soon after I arrived, I discovered that even though I had placed my order over the phone, I still had to wait in line. Perhaps online orders take priority? Upon entering, I noticed that the door could use a good cleaning, as it was covered in fingerprints from previous customers. Meanwhile, my food was getting cold while I waited behind four other people inside the restaurant. Additionally, there were no social distancing markers on the floor, which made it difficult for me to maintain distance from another customer in line, despite posted instructions. This gave the impression that they weren't very COVID-conscious. When I asked a question, the staff member was quite rude, and to top it all off, my food was cold and the red beans and rice had a gritty texture.

This is undoubtedly the best catfish in the West! When you step inside, the delicious aroma is so inviting that you won't mind waiting in line. Plus, the prices are great!

I was served raw hush puppies and over-seasoned French fries twice during my visit. The staff seemed unprofessional.

Visit this place for some delicious home-cooked meals! They have great desserts too. Definitely worth a trip!

Where do I even begin? Don’t judge a book by its cover! This is the best spot in Compton, from the gumbo to the sauces to the fried food. As someone with gastrointestinal issues, I ordered the fried oysters and experienced no bloating whatsoever. Whatever they’re doing, they should definitely keep it up!
