Gilld n Guttd Seafood Place - COOKTOWN

While visiting Cooktown we ordered from this take away shop 2 Spanish Mackerel.The Taste was ok, but nothing really special.They have a few outside tables and plastic chairs but nothing special.I would recommend to sit just around the corner on the water front and enjoy the scenery which is also famous for a nice sun set.

Located at the end of the road as you follow the rive towards the sea, this takeaway fish and chips shop is a gem. $10 for a piece of Spanish mackerel and long chips. Food was great and the chips were not leftover small bits as often get in takeaway places. Highly recommended.

Excellent dinner after travelling... and fishing on the nearby wharf with nil success... kids are it all... and even wedges of lemon included

Once we found this place it was great! Trip advisor maps was sending us on a dirt road and far from where it was so it took a while to get here/work it out! We had to go straight to Google maps to eventually get better directions. We got a couples fish and chips for $24.

These were the best fish & chips I've had! So much food for $10 (Australian). Made fresh just for me! Locals came by and told me this was the best place for fish & chips. I agree!
