Riverside Cafe - COOKTOWN

Do not visit Cooktown without stopping at Riverside Cafe. **** good pies and sweets; and lovely people. Prawn and scallop pie is delicious!

My partner and I went in to order some breakfast. On entry we were greeted (I use the term very loosely) by an older couple. I asked if we could get a table for breakfast (there was no one in the cafe) they asked if I had a booking to which I replied ‘no’ the older lady then informed me “we are only taking bookings this morning” I then asked if they were fully booked” and looked around at the empty cafe. She did not answer my question then proceeded to tell me again that they were only taking bookings….completely dumbfounded, we left.

Awesome fish &chips, lovely coffee, nice food friendly staff

This is the best crocodile pie I've ever had! The staff are lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed my two breakfasts. Highly recommended!

Amazing coffee and delicious cake, all accompanied by a stunning view of the lively wharf. A must-visit when you're in Cooktown!
