Abbays - Cordova

A go-to place for great southern food with prices you can?t beat. Amazing staff! The manager is one of the best. Lots of food for one or more people. Definitely try this location!

1st time in, I was so impressed with the process and the friendly/ efficient young lady at the counter. The food was also impressive and truly had southern flair and taste. Not what I was expecting. The pork chop was juicy and fresh, black eye pease and greens OMG!!the fish outstanding. Only minus was the beef tips and rice not so much( meat was rubbery and I got about 3 teaspoons of rice) and the Mac and cheese while good had no seasoning. I will return time and timeagain????

For the first time, I visited Abbay's about a month ago and had the fried catfish. It was great, and I looked forward to returning again for more. Today, I went for the second time (at 4:00 p.m. and got the fried catfish again, along with vegetables (Order 14405 . I can give a 2 star rating ONLY because the vegetables were good. The fish, however, was probably cooked many hours earlier before my visit and a 2 and kept under a heat lamp for those several hours. IFthere was supposed to be any fish beneath the layers of crust, someone forgot to add the fish. I am sorely disappointed in having made the 15 minute drive there, plus spending the money for the fish plate when it was of such poor quality. Based upon the first visit there, I have recommended Abbays. Now, however, I must retract my recommendation.

The sides are always good, but the ENTREES are ALWAYS undercooked or overcooked. I stopped going here for like 6 months..Decided to go back today. Why did I do that? I have to go home and put my chicken in the air fryer... SMH. It's wet and undercooked.

I have Southern Fried Fish with Mac and Cheese and Turnip Greens. It tasted good and it wasn't long waiting to get it.
