Firewater Bbq Brew- Crest Hill

I visited this restaurant today and while it lived up to the hype in some aspects, it fell short in others. The chicken wings were smoky and juicy, and the burnt ends were fantastic. The smoked chicken was a bit dry, but still flavorful. The meats are definitely some of the best BBQ in the area. The cornbread was sweet but slightly dry. Unfortunately, the sides were a disappointment. The "3-cheese Mac" was one of the worst things I've ever eaten, tasting like cheez whiz on noodles. It was truly awful and cost them a star in my rating. The fries and brisket beans were okay but nothing special. Sides are just as important as the main dishes for a complete dining experience. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. It's worth a try, but I recommend sticking to the meat and making your own sides. If someone you are with tries to order the Mac Cheese, do them a favor and prevent them. You can find a better version in a prison mess hall.

As a resident of Kansas City, I tend to have high standards when it comes to barbecue. However, Firewater BBQ pleasantly surprised me with their delicious ribs and brisket. The ribs had a fantastic flavor thanks to their hand rub, and the brisket was flavorful without being too fatty. They offer a choice of 5 different sauces, with my personal favorite being the sweet sauce. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Karen's friendly demeanor, I knew I was in for a great dining experience. The staff, including Kristen, Michael, and Krystal, worked seamlessly together in the kitchen to ensure quick and effortless service. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I highly recommend Firewater BBQ to anyone who appreciates good barbecue. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I travel often for work, and whenever I am in town I make sure to stop by this restaurant. The food was fantastic - I tried the brisket and jumbo wings. The wings were indeed jumbo and served with sauce on the side, but they were so delicious on their own that I hardly used any sauce. Another reason I will definitely be returning is the dedication to the local community. I was impressed by the number of regulars who came in while I was waiting for my food. The staff knew many of their customers by name and their usual orders. I can't wait to visit again!

First time experience and it was fabulous. Whomever was cooking on 6/3 did an awesome job! Our pulled pork was tender, juicy and tastie. We also had rib tips, chicken wings and corn bread. It had to be the best we tasted in a while, aside from homemade. Our Siberian Husky even loved it and he is the fussiest pup around. We were very careful in his taste test. We will order againand hope to have the same experience, as we have a large family, so it was worth what we spent. It made our celebration special. Thank you!!

Horrible experience this place has lost it. Will never go back there again. Was there yesterday around 4:30 placed an order for rib tip dinner to go and after waiting for almost 30 minutes finally received my so-called food, only to realize that the ribtips were so dry and hard besides the fact that they were terribly burned and had a soaplike taste. So passed off that I didn'tbother to call or return. Threw away my $15.81 away. Would not feed any animal this food. Worst place ever now in my books. ????
