After we were sitting and given the menu, we realized that they were from the brunch menu, which was not one of the foods we believed. as we were just going, the manager encouraged us to stay and offered us the main menu. I ordered a lot of plates; sweet, hummus and falafel. my husband ordered a chicken and rice court. eating was fresh, excellent quality, tasteful and simply delicious. the staff was more than gracious and offers excellent service. kudos to the manager who had eaten at the end of the day and went out of his way to talk to us. when they consider this restaurant, they make it a must to dinate
A great restaurant in the trendy Condesa neighborhood, I highly recommend it to any local or tourist. I know everyone comes to Mexico and wants Mexican food, but Lebanese culture and immigrants have played a significant role in our country and one could say that...Lebanese food is a part of Mexican gastronomy in some ways (research where Tacos al Pastor come from... The service is friendly by the way, and the drinks are served well. I recommend getting a seat inside though, lots of annoying street vendors will distract you.
Every time I go to Mexico City I have stop by this restaurant amazing food and amazing service 5 100 recommended
Look for Aramis, he is a very professional, knowledgeable, a senior welcoming waitress (butler). Lamb ribs are perhaps the best in the area. Classic recipe excellent grill with garlic and mint seasoning. Home made baklava and delicious Turkish coffee. You can not miss this healthy...and Halal food in the area. Home made pita bread, just perfect. For a romantic or family dinner is also highly recommended.
El jamil doesn't honor his reservation. Yesterday I have personally booked in the restaurant for later evening. the host accepted the reservation and confirmed the details while standing at the host station. within two hours the restaurant called. to tell me that it wouldn't take us up because the kitchen decided it would close early. with so many other fine restaurants in Mexico City that appreciate their guests, why should someone even try to eat in el jamil? save time and gravure and enjoy a meal somewhere else.
