Wheelers - Derry

How on earth is a business like this still operating in 2023? So many things wrong with this. Ordered a takeaway for my two kids and waited 1hr 15mins when told on the phone 30mins. When I called back to get a expected time, told the “driver will be with you soon”. When the food arrived, overcharged by £4 (guessing that’s a delivery charge) for a late delivery! My sons ‘kids curry’ was some sliced chicken, powdered gravy granules mixed with curry powder! Dark brown, far too spicy and disgusting! Absolutely no nutrition and a cheek to be called a curry! We call him the human dustbin as he eats everything! NOT this junk…it went in the bucket where it belonged. My other child’s nuggets (3 small bits of chicken) were seriously overcooked, dry and the chicken inside was tough. He ate a few, cold chips and that went in the bucket to keep the curry company. No reply on a phone call, probably just as well. No email Address to contact the business. They probably don’t want to know.

My wife and I along with our son nipped across from the Waterside this evening to dine at Wheelers, the restaurant was very clean and there was of street parking, the ladies that served us both displayed a warm and friendly attitude, the service was fast and the food hot and tasty, we would like to thank the brillant staff and chefs for giving us an excellent evening dining experience, keep up the great work guys, first class!

Went in to order food. One of the staff asked another colleague to take an order (heard the staff member call her Megan) to which she rolled her eyes at and proceeded to go to the till eventually to take the other customers order. Megan’s attitude towards the other staff member and customer was appalling and rude including slamming change down on the counter. This is not the first time we have experienced this with that particular staff member. You could sense every customer in there felt uncomfortable with this situation. Overheard other customers talking about how bad her attitude was when they where leaving. Leaves a sour taste as some other staff members are lovely and attentive.

First thing about this place. Very busy. The menu had a wide choice of food. The staff were unfriendly and rude. They would need to learn how to be nicer to the public as the public pays their wages.

Sunday morning breakfast at Wheelers what a treat. The menu was extensive everything you could think of for breakfast was on the menu, including waffles, pancakes, sodas, and lots if variations of the full fry up. It was very busy and caters fir the younger family members too. The staff were very efficient especially the young lady you took the orders. You are seated an served at the table no need to queue. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be back. Prices are extremely good value. Well impressed.
