A hot chicken is done by many, and this one was super memorable also enjoyed an iced coffee. The value was great for what I paid.I didn't think to order ahead, however while waiting saw many folks pick up their preorders nice to have that option. The staff member helping me was very friendly!
We visited Iggy's to grab some breakfast sandwiches before a visit to the DIA. We called our order in when we were 15 minutes out, so there was not much of a wait to speak of. Do keep in mind that it is a walk up window only and parking is not plentiful. If you have a driver and a passenger that you can send to the window to pick up your order, that works well. Otherwise you are going to have to figure out how to pick up your order. The actual food was very tasty. We got an assortment of breakfast sandwiches some on English muffins, and one on a biscuit. We also got both sausage and bacon sandwiches. The quality of the ingredients were very good. The eggs were cooked nicely and we're slightly runny, which is just the way we like them. The biscuit was sturdy but not dry, which is the perfect balance for use in a breakfast sandwich. The hash browns were tasty, and we also got the French toast sticks, which were yummy as well. They initially forgot one of our sandwiches and we had to circle back to get it. They were very apologetic and made a fresh one on the spot quickly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food and service is good, but I'm not sure the breakfast sandwiches are $6 $7 good... Or at least good enough that I would regularly pay that much for them. Maybe as an occasional treat, but it would not make a regular breakfast rotation or be considered a must have value at this price point.
PROS Even though I went in the winter (which was rough) I love the walk-up concept The sandwich I ordered (brioche, egg, sauce, cheddar, bacon, avocado, arugula) was fantastic, highly recommended, would definitely get again Hash browns seem a bit steep at $3.50 but they were great.CONS As other have stated, the breakfast burrito is a bit small. And for having chorizo and jalapeno, it wasn’t very flavorful We did not get our coffee until our order was complete. Waiting outside in the cold, having a warm coffee while waiting would have been nice. It also would have given me time to realize they did not add cream and sugar as ordered.I definitely plan to come back when it is warmer but I can see why this is so popular for locals as they processed many walk-up carryout orders while I was waiting.
Great quick breakfast sandwiches and conveniently close to the Shinola Hotel for snowy days.
Not at all worth what you pay for. By the time you put the add-ons you are paying $7 for a $2 sandwich. McDonald's has a better sausage biscuit. The coffee was terrible. Stay away from this place. For the money walk a bit farther and go to the Ham Shop. Much better food and great prices.
