Pier 27 - Doddridge

Pier 27 is a hidden gem. Service is always good. Food is very good. Fish and shrimp are excellent. Many entrees for $15. Meals come with complementary gumbo or beans or both and hush puppies. We usually spend about $20 per person, and leave full and happy.

Food is good, paying the bill is a surprise! Folks being charged for using credit card! Glad I had cash!

Husband's class reunion small group service was great, food was great! All the staff was friendly. No complaints from us at all. The staff even took pictures for us even though they were busy.

Used to go to this place back in the 90s and it closed some time after I moved away. Went back for the 4th of July to see the family and found it had reopened. They were packed just like it used to be back in the day. Catfish is still great and worth the wait. Staff was pleasant and attentive. The only thing I'd change is bringing back the all you can eat catfish. Otherwise it's still a hit!!!

Been just recently for the first time, really need to go there more often to fully evaluate. The group we were with and family really seemed to enjoy it. Crab cakes are next.Had the chicken fried steak, it was okay. Will update.
