Feedback gevenI think the hotel is under new management. but it has not shown. very pleasant, friendly place to stay. it was very welcome. I stayed on a Monday evening when the kitchen was closed, but was still very friendly offered a few dishes. Homemade...Lasagne was delicious. the rooms are simple, but very clean. will be back.
The Beverley has just launched there new menu, it's better then the last 1, the couple who have got it have been aloud to make their own menu up, rather than been told what to sell, it's not a big menu but what's on it...is most people's choice, nothing too fancy, well worth a go... it's nice pub food....
Upon arrival, walked into the bar area to check in to be met with an awkward presence. The manager then told the young girl to show me to my room. Room was small but was OK. Everything seemed fine except later on that night the...room was absolutely freezing there seemed to be no heating on. When I awoke from a patchy sleep I got up ready to get showered to find that the shower was not giving out any water so had to get dressed without shower go downstairs to check out then when I told the manager she said that they had not been turned on etc and although she did apologise and grant me a 10% discount on my stay, I still felt unpleased. I would not stay again.
Somebody needs to teach those you girls who work behind the bar how to pull pints, honestly I've had enough of going in and having a s pint. Bev and Donna are the only two who can give you a decent drink. It's also noticeable,...how when bev is not working on an evening the place is quiet, honestly more life in a graveyard. Also rumours has it the chef sticks her finger in the food to check if it's cold. Also them hanging baskets are a pain in my backside. CCTV would also be an upgrade Could do with a lick of paint Nothing really for children Pools ques curly as a pigs dick #MakeTheBevGreatAgain
Me and the wife visited for a change in venue (other than the local) for a meal. The kitchen staff were having a bad day at the office. After being advised of an extended wait for food the starters arrived and the waitress/barmaid kindly offered...a free drink for the wait, although this was appreciated I had to turn the chicken wings away as they were well over cooked( this was replaced with cheesy garlic bread but that was not great). Once our mains came out there was tomato on my plate which I asked for this not to be, the waitress noticed this and commented on it too. The mrs' lasagne was their take on it and came dry with a huge layer of cheese and a couple of tomato. I do like drinking here and will return at some point and try again but overall friendly staff good atmosphere kitchen just had a nightmare today.
