I think the hotel is under new management. but it has not shown. very pleasant, friendly place to stay. it was very welcome. I stayed on a Monday evening when the kitchen was closed, but was still very friendly offered a few dishes. Homemade...Lasagne was delicious. the rooms are simple, but very clean. will be back.

We were here in the short term to visit a high time. there were not many taxis available all weekend, but the staff went the extra mile around the drivers they personally knew to make sure they came and picked us up. the pub itself was very good.

We recently dined at this restaurant and had a delicious steak meal. The double-cooked chips were perfect, the salad generous, and the steak extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned later in the week and once again everything was excellent. We even complimented the chef for preparing such a nice meal. It was worth the money.

She stayed at this restaurant while visiting friends on the other side of the country. They enjoyed delicious Spanish food from the new menu. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was bustling with activity. It is a sports pub with numerous TVs and games. Later in the evening, there was live music and karaoke on Saturday night. The room was simple but clean, although it could have used a nightlight. The music stopped at 11:45 PM, which was appreciated as it was quite loud. Unfortunately, the room did not have an en suite bathroom, but the shared bathroom was only two doors away. At a price of only £40, it is a good option for families or groups on a budget. They do not offer breakfast, except for a Saturday morning breakfast club, but there is a Sainsbury's nearby with affordable and tasty options. Overall, it is a basic, clean, and good value place to stay.

I made the mistake of booking this hotel for one night while attending comic con. It was a disgusting, horrible, hot, smelly, uncomfortable dump with rude staff. The rooms were dirty and the mattresses felt like springs. In the morning, I received a voicemail from the hotel saying they couldn't accept me because they thought I was a prostitute. When I confronted the staff, they tried to blame it on one of my friends. I am not a prostitute, just a woman staying with my fiancé and 13-year-old son who regretted booking this awful place.
