Roost - Dover

We've been in roost a few times last year plus. we love eating, setting and ambiente. the only problem is the timing of the service. every time we come, it takes so long to be recognized first and the past visit was the worst. we sat right away, but it took over 20 minutes to be recognized, and then, when we ordered to drink another 10 minutes to come. the food order went well, our app came on time, but then, when we ordered a second round drinks, the drink of my cream came immediately, but our cocktails took another 20 minutes and until they came, we had finished our meals. we love eating and everyone is very nice, but everyone visits there is a problem with how long we wait to enter our order and get our drinks. I hope that can be improved.

Good and service was great!! The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a lot of positive energy!!

Fabulous meal. Tempura shrimp was great appetizer I had their haddock and it was hot and delicious. My husband loved the scallops. Cream brûlée dessert was perfect

Our second visit to The Roost. Food is good overall, but not outstanding for either visit. Both visits we were told they had beer tap issues so no Draft beer available. These visits were six weeks apart. Still broken?? Server timely and did great job. Not overly friendly, thus the four star. She's not there to be our friend though. She did her job well. All tables were in use. We would try again.

My salmon was not boiled through as I had asked. I gave it back, I didn't get boiled. I couldn't finish it.
