Feedback gevenMy spouse loves this place but to me it's average. I'm never excited to go here when he suggests it. I do love Cuban food though and I have a favorite place on Sunset Blvd so that's not the issue. Without my spouse I would not choose to dine here on my own. A couple of the servers don't speak English just fyi. No hate from me.
Do you love some good Cuban food? Come give them a try. I wish we had stayed to try some of their food but we bought our pastries and dessert to go. Awesome variety, Everything looks fresh, there’s a line but everyone seems to be working hard to keep it moving quickly. My server was Cuban and super nice. I didn’t like the fact that the pastries were more expensive than that other Cuban place, I probably got half the bread for the same amount of money but everything was very good.
I loved, loved this place. Best pastries and the best hot chocolate! I visited this bakery several times. Staff is friendly, place appears clean, and order is ready at a fair Time. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to everyone who wants hot and delicious pastries.
Tropicana is truly exceptional. The empanadas are a delight; the spicy chicken empanadas are crispy and perfectly seasoned, while the beef empanadas are warm and feature a flaky crust. They also offer a fantastic array of cakes and pastries. The dining menu is impressive as well. The turkey club, made with freshly baked cubano bread, gets an extra zing from roasted peppers that elevate this classic sandwich.
The food and pastries here are absolutely delicious. The ropa vieja dish is bursting with flavor, from the meat to the beans. I truly enjoyed my first visit. The prices are reasonable; I don’t think it’s as expensive as some have suggested. The staff is friendly and the decor is lovely. It’s a truly unique restaurant that can’t be compared to Portos.
