Bear Track Inn - Drummond Island

During our honeymoon last August, I wanted to revisit my wife's fond memories of DI and made a stop at this restaurant. There aren't many restaurants on the island, and they are quite spread out. Their specialty is pancakes, and I have to say, they were definitely worth the wait. After a few delightful conversations with the locals, we left feeling quite full. Do they stay open in the winter?

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. However, the room left much to be desired. I was told it would be simple and clean, which is exactly what I wanted, but instead, I found it to be both simple and dirty. The musty odor was off-putting, the carpet was quite filthy, and the small couch was covered in long dog hair. While I would definitely return for the food, I won't be staying there again.

Great value on the island with generous portion sizes!

I've visited this restaurant twice, both times during peak hours (weekend breakfast). The breakfast is great, and there's plenty of hot coffee to enjoy! The atmosphere is very friendly, too. However, you should be prepared for an over-hour wait for your food on weekends.

The food was wonderful here. It had that small town atmosphere that we love.
