I can't wait to go back and try the vegan roast chicken sandwich. not listed on the website. her online menu shows vegetarian sandwiches with cheese and sauce. Good to do, they have vegan cheese and vegan sauce available, without price. the sourded, French or Dutch knirschenbrot is vegan and there is a gf brot.
Great find for out in the suburbs. This is the same chain that has spread like wildfire from its start in SF to all across California. And thankfully they appear committed to keeping about half of their menu veg. I hadn 't been in years and had to get the one sandwich I remembered so fondly, the veggie meatball with marinara and jack cheeze. One word of advice: even though it says it 's vegan meatballs, don 't assume they know that means you want vegan cheeze or vegan mayo. I made that mistake and they had to start over. Personally I would skip the dirty sauce the next time--it 's their vegan mayo based special sauce. It 's already rich enough with the cheeze so it was over the top with the sauce. So this is not the place to go if you 're looking for whole foods: Veggie meats are the centerpieces of every sandwich. Baagan a few miles away is much more healthy. But dang, this stuff is good.
Ike’s has never disappointed me! I got Go Sharks on a Dutch crunch. What a great sandwich, and they are also very fast.
All of their options consist of fake meats and cheeses. I prefer more salad and something sweet in my bread. Instead, I would rather have an avocado and cucumber hummus sandwich from Togo's. In the end, I didn't want anything.
You can never go wrong with an Ike's sandwich! Ike's is amazing and always very accommodating. They offer a complete vegetarian menu that can be made vegan upon request. Some of the best sandwiches I've ever had have come from Ike's. I have so much love for this place!
