Our hot tea and water were served first, and they are in paper/plastic cups. Thought to myself, to not let this presume anything on how the food will be like. Then, our main course arrived and mine is in a paper plate still but my husband's is in usual chirashi plate. My food was just stacked like I was getting food from a children's party in a paper plate. Where you cram all food into a small plate. But I didn't let my critique be based on that, so dig in I did. And to my surprise, the beef teriyaki is tender and flavorful. It is seasoned well, and you want to eat more of that beef. Then I eat some rice in between. Oh so great! The lunch plate includes choice of handroll and I had the Spicy Tuna roll. It is not as pleasing looking, but it is actually really good. Spiciness is not too much, so I taste the tuna really well. It is also fresh. On top of that it also has salad, soup and tempura mix that ca.e with the lunch plate. So overall the food is great. I gave it 5 stars.Food price is not too much. For 3 orders: my lunch plate, chirashi Deluxe and seaweed salad, all in all it is $51 including tax.Service is fast, efficient, and professional.I gave this 4 stars overall experience. Would have been 5 if not of presentatiob. Definitely a notable room for growth. Will try them again in the future! Want to eat that beed teriyaki again!
The fish was fresh and the right temperature. So good! I will be back!Dipping sauce for the tempura needs work.Nice and cold beers!!Very friendly and accommodating to my kids.Vegetarian options: Beer was chilled perfectionKid-friendliness: The waitress went out of her way to be sure the kids had crayons and plenty to scribble on.
Fresh, delicious sushi! We ordered Golden Gate Dragon rolls! Definitely will be back soon.Food: 5/5
This place is so cool. They have multiple different styles of Asian food, from Yakitori to ramen to sushi to steam boxes! Next time we’ll have to try one of the steam boxes. It’s a little on the expensive side but we’ll worth it and can easily be a place for a quick lunch or an extravagant sushi dinner. Will definitely return… with more friends!
Please note: as much as I love sushi, I will be upfront that I am from the midwest and just in Dublin/Pleasanton for work, so I don't have a lot of comparison points to other California sushi. But with that out of the way, this place is fantastic! Very reasonably priced, quick friendly service, and no skimping on portions. The hamachi belly and salmon belly nigiri were highlights! Hope to come back with colleagues soon.
