The salmon here was exceptional, the staff warm and helpful (in English), and you get a view of the 12th century cathedral from both inside and in front (during good weather). We enjoyed it so much we stayed several days, and then brought back friends and family several days later, where they gave us a private room with antique furnishings. Most of the tourists were Danish, and that says something. By the way, we also rented rooms upstairs 1/2 the price of most places in town. With typical Danish humor, they describe the rooms thus: No flat screen TV, shower and toilet in the corridor, but low ceilings and lots of creaky stairs this is a real ' historic building, not glitzed up make believe. I will say that the staircase is steep and narrow and not for plus sized folks. We would go back there any time, and hope to.
Good authentic Danish food wholesome and tasty, in a charming historic building. Best schnitzel. Highly recommend. Advise to make a booking to secure a table.
We had a great dinner there (2 adults and 2 children) the food and service was excellent I would definitely come back
This restaurant is hundreds of years old and retains its charm, but isn't dusty or dirty in any way. Service is good, food is good, and there are plenty of patrons. I recommend the fried fish, a la carte.
Eating at Weis Stue is an absolute must in Ribe. Entering the small front room is liking stepping back in time, and it is super cosy to sit there on a chilly October evening and look out through the small windows onto the Cathedral and Dagmar Hotel. Service was slow but friendly, which seems to be the case everywhere in this area. The traditional Hakkebøf med bløde løg was the best we 've ever had.
