Hands down the worst experience ever. Google wants you to evaluate on three fronts, food, service and atmosphere, then let 's take a look at them shall we? I visited the store twice on my holidays as it was at a prime location next to Coles. I always like to try something new, and the Hot Rocks caught my attention right away. I asked whether there was a picture of it somewhere, but none were to be found. So the staff literally took the recipe off the wall and showed it to me. I couldn 't really tell from all the text at a glance, so I took a chance and ordered it anyway. Then bizarrely, she put the recipe down and started to study it intensively as if she never made it before, which got me worried about the quality of what I was about to receive. But it turned out okayish, although a bit melty probably due to the warm temp in the store thanks to the broken door stopper which always left the door half open and let the extreme heat pour in. And that 's probably what also caused the heavy condensation on the counter glass and made it almost impossible to see the ice creams, not to mention pick them. The second time I walked into the store, the staff changed to a young man (boy was more like it). This time I asked for a large smoothie with two flavours of ice creams, double choc and lemon sorbet. After some running around he came back to me saying that they ran out of large cups?! (which was unbelievable to me at the time, then I quickly found out why) So I said no worries, a regular would do. He responded Uh...okay with a noticeable hesitation (again, I found out why shortly afterwards). He got down to it and came back to me with the smallest regular sized cup I 've ever seen (not that much bigger than a coffee cup). Now I think about, I 'm pretty certain it was actually a small cup, only claimed as a regular one. And the only conclusion I could draw was that they ran out of regular cups as well, and the poor boy probably didn 't have the heart to tell me again. But that was the least of the problems. I took one sip of it, and my first reaction was that he forgot to put in the ice creams. Because that thing was as smooth as milk with NO SUBSTANCE, NO FLAVOURS whatsoever, and it was ROOM temperature for Pete 's sake! No wonder they don 't stock up on any cups, because no SANE people would ever go back and order it again!!! So let 's review the three aspects again, i.e. food, service and atmosphere, shall we? I think it 's safe to say that the food is bad . The service is basic. And the atmosphere is non-existent! (imagine eating melting ice creams in a warm bathroom, that 's what it feels like to eat in the store) I did discover that this brand is a franchise. So maybe it was just this store that was bad, or even that their other products were actually good. So don 't listen to me, go and see for yourselves. Ice cream was nice, but a bit on the expensive side
Closed without updating details online. Hours specified in windows also indicated it should have been open. No reason provided on window why it’s closed. Not pleasant to tell me kids sorry no ice-cream after travelling into the city just for it.
Hubby and I decided to take our kids for their first mix-in ice-creams this afternoon on a whim, and I am so glad we did! The kids loved it, but beyond that, the young man who served us was an absolute legend. He was friendly and engaging with our little ones, and so thoughtful and considerate of what we may need as parents, all while completing the other aspects of his job efficiently. So impressed!
