On offer on the the Sri Lankan buffet was only Dahl, spicy potato bean dish, white yellow rice, chicken dish a lamb dish which was full of sinew, chewy tough. However, the lamb chicken had flavoursome sauce in which they were cooked. We were dismayed by the lack of choice disappointed by what was offered on their website but not in reality. Service: Dine in
Used to be good !! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$1–20
Clean, calm and cool restaurant to eat African or Indian style meal. Dish is a plate full of African spiced rice (huge) with choice of chicken or fisslh (other days may be different) meat was deliciously spicy with flavors. Recommend to try this authentic African restaurant and to support Darwin local businesses. No bus within walking distance. Service: Dine in
Worst experience ever. Pork in the dish. Rude staff. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–20
2.5/5 star rating for me. these guys seem to be transitioning from what it was (sri lankan cuisine) to african cuisine. there is a lot of potential here but there needs to be better organisation and communication with the staff and customers as I felt we had no idea what to expect where as the african customers came and went and knew exactly what they were doing. for example they had people coming in for take away some for buffet and then even some who purchased take away and ate it there. the buffet is advertised at $20 a plate which confused us because we only realised after we sat down. its not clear if its $20 per plate serving or per person which would make more sense. we finally asked someone who then told us something completely different altogether! $20 all you can eat curries or $20 all you can eat african, not a mix. so because of this reason we ended up paying $29 per person because we had a little bit of everything as you'd expect at a normal buffet. again this bad experience all comes down to bad communication. then we realised other african people were ordering food that wasn't even on the buffet which we would have loved to know more about if there was a menu or we were made known. food overall was okay. egusi meat had a lot of fat and meat was so tough. the chicken was also not edible. all the rice dishes were delicious as well as the chips and nuggets but thats not what people go here for. lamb and chicken curry saved the night for me. super flavourful tender and a bit of a kick to it, delicious! no desserts like what it had previously only a fresh fruit platter. lots of room for improvement but hopefully you'll get there. also a better layout in the restaurant for better flow would be so much better as we waited 20 minutes just to get more food because it was blocked up with takeaway customers standing around the food display.
