Bay Street Grille - Florence

On a not too busy Wednesday evening, we were underwhelmed by our dining experience at this restaurant. The staff appeared to be off their game. Although I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, I feel it is only fair to advise other OpenTable members that they may want to consider dining elsewhere.

I love Bay St Grille during Halloween because Florence offers a trick-or-treat walk for the kids in the afternoon right by the waterfront. We love sitting by the window at Bay St Grille, enjoying a late lunch (and fantastic Key Lime Martinis!) while also handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters. The garden burger is delicious and the fries are freshly cut. On top of that, the special of the day was a Crab melt with plenty of crab in it.

The steak was hardly seasoned and the meat was not the choice grade as advertised, but rather select grade. Additionally, I requested medium rare but it came out rare and cold in the center.

I found the dining experience at this restaurant to be superior to some of the higher-rated establishments in the old city area. The service was outstanding, with even a new waitress on her second day performing exceptionally well. The drinks were delicious and there was a nice selection of beer on tap.
