Forney Icehouse

Friend and I had just finished out drinks when a random worker, who we hadn't yet seen since walking in, approached us asking Iif we needed another drink. We were just about to leave so felt rushed but told him no anyways. He stated he didn't like people just sitting around with no drinks.The guy who took our orders didn't seem to know what he was doing and took so long just to get back with us. The first time he circled back it was to ask what we had ordered, even though he wrote it on his pad.Larger man was nothing but kind to us and even stuck around just to chat.Music was great, atmosphere very low key, exactly what I was looking for.

Been in Forney for 2 years and finally stopped in for lunch, never again.Beer is warm and they were out of everything except Mich ultra, Coors Light and of course Bud Light.Ordered the Philly which was my only option due to 1/2 of the menu items were 86'ed...very light on the meat and what I did have was over cooked...asked for a side salad and got Tots which tasted like burnt fish....obviously thier grease has not been changed in weeks...it 1:30 pm and the bar tender is taking shots with a customer....no wonder this place is dive...I would hate to see the conditions of the kitchen, they obviously care more about drinking and hanging out with thier friends outside smoking and drinking with thier selected customers than being inside serving us....it's 1:30 in the afternoon for Heavens sake...

Very friendly staff, clean for a dive bar. Definitely felt like locals/regulars would be the main base of customers. Burger and wings were solid but took longer than expected for being 2 people there that afternoon, maybe 8 other folks sitting at the bar. 4 stars for a pretty limited beer selection with only bottles, and nothing on draft. All around decent spot.

Wasn't impressed! ? Just seemed it abit chaotic with no communication between the staff members. Went in on a Friday for a girl's night out with my friends. We arrived around 9:45 pm wanted to order some food have a few drinks and listen to some karaoke. We sat down at the bar and asked the main bartender if they're still serving food and she replied with yes and she gave us a menu. We ordered our drinks which we got really quick and waited for someone to take our food order a second bartender who was apparently a fill in that night told us they're no longer serving food.

Cheating on shots! Half shots to full shots.Food is good! Burgers cooked to order with sides. The ripoff is at the bar. BEWARE!
