Petrillo's - Freeport

Our family travels every holiday season to freeport to make some shopping and enjoy a meal together. after reading yelp reviews, we decided to make a reservation for lunch. at the arrival the restaurant was mostly empty, possibly due to rain weather. the waiter was friendly and sat down. Once we have placed our drinks and app orders, we gave our order. the waitress was also covered with the bar; seems as if they were short occupied. drinks were delivered and we were not given with our beer glasses. appetizers were not acceptable. brot on bruschetta and spinach dive was hardly roasted. we ordered our meals and were surprised with the small part of the sandwiches. the food was very dirty. one of our guests put salt on their risotto and the tip was broken salt on their dish. she tried to eat it, but not finished 1/2 of her plate. when the waiter came back to check our food, I explained what happened. she offered to replace teller, but we said no. it was not tasty and we were not interested in getting another teller. what really prompts me to evaluate this visit is the fact that only half of this plate was cut off, as the half of the food was eaten. Really? we spent over $200 and left starving and disappointed. I understand personal management if they are not busy due to weather, but I don't think we get a quality experience.

I have booked a large group (10 people) for lunch after a family event. the waitress was great, she took care of all of us, including two children. the menu had a nice selection for adults and children and everything tasted great. we could bring a special cake to serve after lunch. I would recommend petrillo’s definitiw and be there again!

We wanted a family meeting. everything was fantastic. order drinks, local design beer and what I suspect is homemade limoncello. the group usually had pasta dishes that arrived quickly and the pasta was al dente and not mushy. all in all a great experience.

Eating was great and accommodated great party and gluten free needs!

Eat there often but made reservations for 6 which was lucky for us, it was very busy. 4 adults and 2 kids in their 20's all ordered something different. We shared an order of mussels and spicy shrimp for an app. which was a great hit all around. I had a shrimp pasta special and when we were all done, there was only empty plates on the table. Dinner also included great wine and beers. Much to full for desert. : Excellent night with the in laws and the beginning of thanksgiving time off.
