It can be very hard to make a choice. The French toast is to die for but then everything else is also very good. We couldn't eat lunch, we were so full. We had one dinner here and were also very happy with the pork belly, duck and chocolate mousse dessert. Put the Source on your list.
We toured the museum in the morning and decided to stay on for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but they were more than accomodating for 'walk ins'. The wine list is enormous, one of the best collections of Burgundies you will find. The wait staff were excellent, explained the 'share' style of food they offer and gave us as much or as little detail as we asked for. We shared starters and a couple of entrees followed by a single Main.Three dishes stood out. The brioche, truffle and gruyere 'toasted sandwich' for starters was unbelievably delicious. Our entree of Venison tataki melted like butter in your mouth. The crispy pork belly main course packed serious depth of flavour accompanied by middle eastern spiced, roasted cauliflower.Combine the delicious food and great service with very reasonable prices, and it makes for an outstanding lunch. Highly recommended.
Our waiters, Takani and Fra were so very hospitable and knowledgable, our surroundings full of interesting tables with contemporary art inside each table, and the food divine. We thought we were full and wouldn't be able to eat dessert, however we managed to demolish three and some cheese as well. This restaurant is 5 star, and therefore most desserts are $15 each.
We had a wonderful experience at the Source Restaurant, could not fault the food, absolutely amazing, the service was very attentive but not over the top, I would definitely recommend it. We sat by the window and the view was beautiful, overall had a lovely relaxing lunch.
My girlfriends and I enjoyed a late lunch here before we wandered the gallery. It was in a lovely setting, tablecloths and napkins, unpretentious wait staff who were helpful but not in your face. We drank Muse Extra Brut sparkling which was fab and enjoyed a sharing experience of appetites and entrees. 3 of each! That was definately enough for us. Not as $$$ as I thought it would be and the serves of the entrees were certainly enough to fill us. Of special note was the duck with wilted greens and the trout. Both entrees. Complex flavours and generous. I also thought the affrogato was superb. Ice-cream - amazing.
