Fujiyama - Hackettstown

Many may not expect Hackettstown to have a large sushi and steakhouse, but they would definitely be mistaken. The menu is exceptional, offering over 50 different types of sushi rolls to choose from. We decided on a sushi plate and were very pleased with our choice. The fish was incredibly fresh and tasty. The owner even stopped by to ensure that everyone was enjoying their meals. I cannot wait to return.

The restaurant has lovely decor and a decent ramp, though the doors are heavy. Once inside, there is plenty of space for maneuvering, though it felt a bit awkward. The food was amazing! We only tried the sushi, but we had several rolls. Overall, it was a great night out.

I really enjoyed the food! The chefs were fantastic, and the desserts were amazing. It was a nice touch to have a performer come in and sing happy birthday.

Our friends recommended this restaurant and it was fantastic. Please note that it is BYOB. We shared a variety of appetizers including Veggie Gyoza, Beef Negimaki, Rock shrimp, Edamame, tempura shrimp and veggies, and citrus scallops - all were very good! For our main course, we shared a selection of Designer and Classic Rolls. The standouts were the Geisha roll, Cowgirl, Love Daisy, and Surf and Turf - all were delicious. The service and staff were excellent. We highly recommend making reservations.

During our visit to this restaurant one night while in town from North Carolina, we were impressed by the extremely professional and attentive staff. The manager even checked on our table multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed, which was a nice touch. Usually, when my girlfriend and I dine at sushi restaurants, we each get our own roll and share a specialty roll. However, at this particular sushi restaurant, they offer a unique option that I wish more places would adopt. Instead of only having the chef's choice for groups of 2, 4, or 8, they provide different options for specific rolls, allowing customers to choose for themselves at a reasonable price. With three of us dining, we opted for 3 specialty rolls and 4 regular rolls for about $50, which was a great value per roll. The fourth member of our group, along with their 4-year-old, enjoyed the chicken teriyaki, which I also sampled and found to be delicious. The specialty sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to sushi lovers when visiting again.
