Upper Deck Cafe - Halfmoon Bay

As a court of the day was offered salmon. polenta and sweet in a clam sauce. the salmon on the point, the sweet crunchy and tender, the sauce a dream. especially note from my own view: my care does not like seafood; it was not a problem to get another, very good to the dish suitable sauce. so what is a good restaurant for me. we have already made the next reservation when paying.

Great early supper watching sailboats and yachts coming in. Enjoyed wild mushrooms and chicken as well as Atlantic scallops on the bright sunny evening. Pleasant patient server.

This restaurant which in the past had a fair reputation has been recently re opened by a new owner cum chef and provides consistently excellent dining in a beautiful location, accessible by water and road. It offers a good choice of appetizers and main courses. Each dish is carefully prepared and comes to the table hot and elegantly presented.. Regardless what you chose it will be tempting to the palate and pleasing to the eye.. Surprisingly one is also greeter with nice fresh bread and butter., which nowadays is a rare offering..There are also specialty cocktails to start and a good choice of both white and red wines, beers , ciders and apres. The service is prompt, friendly and you are being treated like a respected member of the family. You can sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view of the bay and the passing boats, or inside in the dining room.. The decor is simple but with comfortable seating and spotlessly clean, including the restroom. The restaurants is open only Thursday to Sunday starting at 5 PM'.We were there on a Saturday evening and even though the tourist season did not start yet, it was nearly full. Once the season starts, I am sure that reservations will be recommended for choice times.

I took guests to the Upper Deck for the first time on the long weekend and it was by far the best dining experience on the coast. Great, creative meals (the mussels shouldn't be missed), good service and an amazing location on the water. We sat on the deck and it was a beautiful, warm evening. Highly recommended!

Wonderful food, amazing location and very friendly staff. We always take our guests and friends to the Upper Deck.
