When I paid just over £5 for a chicken curry, rice, and naan, my expectations weren't necessarily high. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the large portion of delicious, authentic, and beautifully cooked spicy food.
Been here for lunch a couple of times recently. I work down the road and normally bring my own lunch so grabbing lunch out can often seem like an unnecessary expense. I haven't been previously as I was under the impression that they only offered more exotic options like curry and Kebabs. Turns out they do traditional sandwiches (bun wrap baguette) with salad etc as well. I opted for a egg mayo bun. Option of white and brown, butter or not and then your choice of salad. They also do a meal deal with crisps and drink. You can have it on a plate to eat in or wrapped up to take away. I couldn't fault the food. Really tasty and good quality fresh bread. Sensibly priced. Staff were friendly and cheerful. Many of the people I work with come here most lunchtimes. They love the specials. Some people look forward to Ooty's just on Fridays as a treat. There is plenty of parking. You can rent rooms for meetings (with or without food) and they do outside catering for meetings. It's not a traditional tea room so if that's what you're looking for then perhaps look elsewhere. But otherwise, it's definitely worth a try.
The Friday special at this restaurant is excellent. I particularly enjoy the curry option, which is just as good as any Indian restaurant. There are plenty of other choices to suit all tastes, as well as a variety of good teas and coffees and some delicious sweet options. The staff are always friendly, and the prices are fair considering the quality of the food. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, making it a great alternative to the limited sandwich options available at some takeaways in Stokesley. I highly recommend giving it a try.
The restaurant offers delicious food with Indian inspired dishes. I tried the onion bhaji and salad sandwich and found it to be enjoyable and a nice change from the usual. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Overall, it's worth a visit.
