It started as a vegan business and it was closed for several months for a major renovation in early 2020. Then sadly COVID hit. They re-opened as a takeaway only (re-branded as Fudo Kitchen but their menu became vegetarian rather than vegan. They also opened up several food businesses on Uber Eats Deliveroo specialising in a specific regional dishes (Karma Oriental, Mr India, Yoow Vegan, Texaco, Vebabland…. it goes on and on and on. But sadly, I’ve noticed there has been times where they have operated chicken businesses and meat products out of the premises too (search Wingin it, World of Wings, Wild Crust and Absurd Bird on your Uber Eats App The food is great (a little on the pricey side but honestly some of the best vegan food I’ve ever tasted. Also, the vast range of vegan cuisines from around the word is incredible. The Jamaica brand Yoow Vegan is sensational and I’ve never found a place to top it. But unfortunately the business seems to be more interested in financial survival rather than sticking to it’s original vegan roots and as such compromised it’s animal cruelty free ethos. In terms of the Karma Oriental Dishes, highly recommended dishes are: Eight Treasure Fried Rice Thai Green Curry Crispy Chilli Chicken (starter Crispy Chilli Lamb (starter I’ve tried all their noodle dishes and I’m not a fan. Whether it’s the Hakka noddles, Duck Noodles or Szechwan Lamb noodles, they put this sweet sauce on them and it’s a little too sweet for me. Updated from previous review on 2021-08-16

Please note they operate out of the same site as mr india and two peas, both of which are vegetarian, not vegan. So if you are sensitive to dairy and cross contamination, bear this in mind. In my opinion this should not be advertised as vegan as they make vegetarian food in the same kitchen! If you filter by “vegetarian” you will see mr india and two peas come up.
My wife and I frequently order from this restaurant. There is a wide variety of options, including many mock meat dishes which we enjoy. The satay sticks have changed and are not as good as they used to be, but there are plenty of other delicious dishes to try.
