Snack Waoo - Havana

It can be difficult to find vegan choices in Cuba, so it was a pleasant surprise to have a few options available, including a starter. The meal was enjoyable, but simply having choices made us happy.

This restaurant is awful. The waitress didn't understand that I wanted a dish without meat, egg, and milk, even though I communicated this in Spanish. I ended up with a bowl of only salad, nothing else. When I asked for something different, she even offered me tombs.

This is not your typical grab-and-go snack spot, but rather a sophisticated and upscale restaurant and bar. The food was excellent, with a variety of vegetarian options available despite it being a steakhouse. I highly recommend it. I enjoyed fried chickpeas, a customized salad, a large eggplant appetizer, and mango ice cream.

It is not easy to find special vegetarian dishes in Cuba, but they have them. a bit overpriced for what they offer, but one of their few good options in this Veg desert.
