Celeste - Hilton Head Island

The food and service at Celeste are consistently excellent. We really liked the lightly breaded calamari, which was cut in an interesting way and accompanied by two different sauces. It was delicious. For our main courses, we had a beautifully cooked piece of prime rib and Chilean sea bass. Both portions were generous and tasted fantastic. Shaniel did a wonderful job serving us. I think our next visit to Celeste will be for their brunch.

We visited for brunch and ordered the steak and eggs, as well as the lump crab entrée. The food was delicious, but the portion sizes could have been a bit larger considering the price. Our server, Myles, was excellent. We'll definitely return.

New Orleans menu but I don't think they were ever in New Orleans. gumbo was a poor imitation, flavored okay but not a true rue, obviously thickened, no okra, no other veggies, one shrimp, some sausage not andouille . blackened red fish was best part of meal, but was supposed to have a crawfish etouffe, but no crawfish. the dessert was huge disappointment. bananas foster, not flatbed, served as separate entities (dish of rock hard ice cream, bananas in a sugared sauce, whipped cream dollop on the side) grits were room temperature. the wine was excellent. way overpriced for the quality of the food. service was very good.

Everything was delightful, and we had a wonderful server who was very attentive. The only issue we encountered was with the apple salad we both ordered; it had an overwhelming amount of red pepper flakes, making it too spicy for either of us to enjoy. However, the waitress promptly addressed the situation for us.
