Hickory Tavern - Hilton Head Island

Nice setup with ample space and a bunch of TVs. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The cheesy bread and pretzels were excellent. The smothered chicken was a little dry. They have a decent craft beer selection.

The wings were large, although they didn't come with the correct sauce. We visited on a Tuesday and took advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free tacos, which we enjoyed. The bartender was skilled but seemed overwhelmed; they definitely need additional staff support.

The chicken penne pasta was quite good! The charred wings had a lovely smoky flavor without being burnt, definitely above average.

The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic, especially for sports fans. They offer a great kid's menu, which is perfect for families, and they even serve apple juice. I didn't manage to take pictures of all our food since everyone started eating so quickly, but I do have pictures of the queso dip, pretzel bites, and the children's chicken finger plate.

Service was great, eating came fast and had a nice feeling for the environment there. we ate outside when a storm rolled in and had a great time.
