Curry House Coco Ichibanya - Honolulu

A friend who lived in Japan recommended this restaurant to me, so I was eager to give it a try. After browsing the menu, I found many tempting options. I ultimately decided to go for the Chicken Cutlet with Cheese (spicy), which seemed to be a favorite among diners. I absolutely loved this dish! I had never experienced cheddar cheese with curry before, and it was a delightful combination. The curry was spicy but not excessively so. Before discovering this place, I had no idea that curry was popular in Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend checking it out! They have locations in several cities across the US.

The value for the portion sizes is excellent. Although their private dining area is currently closed, the rest of the seating in the food court is just a short walk away. Overall, I have no complaints. Just a tip: bring cash unless you want to incur a 3% surcharge on credit card transactions.

The curry was quite good, but with the dining area closed, the meal was served with inexpensive utensils, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the portion sizes were smaller than what you might expect.
