The hostess was very kind and welcoming, seating us even though the table was soon reserved. If I lived closer, I would definitely become a regular customer. The prices are also very reasonable considering the high quality of the food.
I have visited Dagon multiple times in the past and have always enjoyed many of their dishes. I was not disappointed this time, as the food was just as good as always. One issue that seems to be common, however, is the long wait time to place an order. They have a high staff turnover and could benefit from hiring more employees. I would give them 5 stars every time if it weren't for the service.
Service was extremely slow. we were a party of 4. we ordered the appetizer dish, which is in the fried food. it came 40 minutes after we had ordered it, and some escaped. it wasn't good at all. all the escaped came out at different times. it's cool if they share the court with others. try a escape, rest a bit, get a new dish. my veggiesuppe was terrible! I was really disappointed at the menu that it was listed as favorite. the sauce for the salmon was delicious. the laughter tasted like he had previously frozen and boiled. I couldn't eat it because of the texture. the mango chicken had good sauce, the mangos were not ripe. the biryani was really good and full of taste. my waitress was kind and apologised for the delays. she worked all tables without help. there were 2 people in the kitchen and she apologised for the flow of the service. overall, I would probably never come back with my family. I can order biryani if I live it and dine alone. they have potential, but the pandemic had probably influenced them and the level of services. therefore I was gracious and gave 3 stars
Nice feel, cool atmosphere, and the food that actually made it to the table was pretty good. My complaint is that timeliness and honesty was lacking. There was clearly an issue in the back but everyone just pretended nothing was wrong. I understand everyone is understaffed but at a certain point you should tell people what's up or maybe stop taking orders. Our experience and frustration was evidently shared by everyone else dining in and coming for take out. In summary: First dish was brought out 45 minutes after we arrived. Over the next 45 minutes, we had a few more plates come out. The side rice for the curry and the palata never made it out. Mysteriously the salad took over an hour. After having been there for nearly two hours, we asked for the check and they were kind enough to remove the items that never made it to the table.
Very tasty food. Decided to do something different for date night. We both loved it. Actually ordered too much and didn’t finish everything, it’s okay though as we have both the mixed vegetable and coconut shrimp curry to enjoy as leftovers.
