Zippy's Restaurants - Honolulu

Arriving in Honolulu late at night from overseas and the only restaurant open late is Zippy's so you can never go wrong with that We are a party of 3, dined here late and there was a only handful of diners so the service was a breeze. There's no Zippy's in Vancouver, Canada so it's a delight to experience such here in Honolulu. However, the location is rather sketchy and it gave me the impression that it is NOT very safe for a tourist to come here unaccompanied especially at night. Props to the server who suggested what dish to order and she didn't disappoint.

Very very slow service. The food was standard but the workers didn’t communicate and it took over 30 minutes to get our food for takeout.

Yummy variety of foods from saimin to chili to haupia pies. Opens late. Great place to go when you're tired and hungry, there's something for everyone.

Updated 12/11/23 Staff are great welcome my cousin know her order. We always recommend ZIPPY'S!! Never heard of Zippy's before I arrived. Now I'll never forget it As a visitor I loved it and will be back often. I highly recommend the chili cheese fries.The staff was friendly efficient knew the regulars by name. This location has a sort of fast food front area and apparently the back is a restaurant in high demand especially around the holidays although I am told there is an added charge for table service/restaurant. I know several local elderly people who really depend on Zippy's enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner there. One had an occasion to go next door to the main office to lodge a complaint, but only once. She was quite pleased with the management's response. We appreciate this local landmark and will keep coming back.

I like the Zippys because it’s convenient not always crowded and a great place to sit down and have a meal with your family. They are very friendly here and the food is good. Appreciate the prices also.
