The burger was well grilled with great flavor, but slightly charred. The pasta salad could use some improvement as it was a bit dry. Additionally, the service was on the slower side.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was subpar, and the service was disappointing—I'd rate it just one star since there was hardly any service at all. The veggie burger and pizza were both a one-star experience; I really don't understand how you can mess up pizza that badly. The burger was slightly better at 2.5 stars, though it was overcooked. We were staying at a nearby lodge and chose this restaurant because it was the closest option. To give you an idea of how unsatisfied we were, we opted for ramen and microwaved hot dogs the following night rather than returning here.
We came here to get some lunch after the long drive from Sequoia National Park. Just order at the kiosk. There are tables outside to sit and eat (bad air quality when I went). Food is on end pricier side, but that's expected. The food was alright and filling.
The food was surprisingly good for the type of restaurant and the quality was also high. The service was pretty mediocre because due to an unknown issue the place was only take out except you could sit in the interior also the kiosks were broken even though there was a good wait time. The ambience was okay the view was okay because it was foggy and there were not many people and it felt empty overall very good place to eat!
We were actually shocked at how terrible this place was. We were looking forward to dining here for breakfast and dinner since we are staying in the nearby lodge for two days. You order from a teenager, three steps inside the door, behind a cash register, like a fast-food restaurant. No one greets you. It is cold and dark inside so I recommend eating outside. The person who delivered the food didn 't speak English so we couldn 't ask for mustard. Food was not served on plates. This was most unfortunate given we had paid a 18% tip when we ordered the food. You had to get up to get your own napkins and cutlery. We ordered the veggie burger, which was tasteless, dry and the bun seemed to have been stale or microwaved until it was tough. You had to eat it off of the paper wrapper it came on. The chopped salad was average in a to-go container that was likely made earlier in the day. There was no staff to be found to ask for extra dressing as the kid behind the cash register had a long line of people to take orders from. No way to ask for water. With no music in the large dining room, it would have been a dismal experience if we hadn 't eaten outside with the ants and bird poop. The creamy tomato soup had nothing creamy about it--tasted like pasta sauce.
