The beauty of the interior is evident to see, but what truly stands out is the delicious handmade cakes! They are so delicious that they are truly moving. This is the level of quality that is hard to come by even in Tokyo. The kindness of wanting customers to enjoy something delicious is clearly conveyed. Just as my bus was approaching and I had to leave my coffee behind, they kindly put it in a takeaway cup for me to take with me. Surely, it is this kindness that elevates the cake to a level of amazement. A paradise-like cafe surrounded by dreamy scenery in Ine. When you visit Ine, be sure to stop by this amazing cafe.
I stayed at this inn at the end of November 2020. It's not a boathouse, but the old building has been beautifully renovated and the owner is very warm and made my stay very pleasant. I only stayed one night at this inn during my trip to Kyoto, and because there are stairs and I had a lot of luggage, I recommend packing light. There is also a sake warming pot, and I enjoyed a warm cup of Iine Mankai from Mukai Sake Brewery! The breakfast included a colorful salad made with local vegetables, as well as soba waffles that were very filling and satisfying. Parking is convenient as it is located near the tourist association where you can park your car. There is a shop across the street where you can buy Iine Mankai and other dried goods, making it very convenient. (I purchased Iine-sourced dried fish for 450 yen and it was delicious!)
Thanks to my senior colleague's arrangement, two old guys stayed here and had a great time. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and the rare selection of liquor in the room kept us entertained all night. It was convenient to settle the bill with a credit card, so we didn't have to bring anything. Thank you for a wonderful time.
