I would recommend that they use speckhucks, as the mixture was juicy with a sweet bacon aroma reminiscent of pea soup. The crust was well-baked, not soggy, a good indicator of quality. The top was light and fluffy. I also tried a sausage roll, which had a nice moist texture with a homemade flavor, not dry like store-bought options. The pastries were light and flakey. My wife had a spinach ricotta pastry and raved about it. The selection of sweets and cakes looked fresh and appealing. We didn't try the broth, so I can't comment on that. Overall, if you're looking for a fantastic pie or sausage roll, you can't go wrong with this place. I highly recommend it.
One of the best Thai chicken cakes I have ever had! They were perfectly baked with just the right mix of chicken and veggies, offering a fragrant Thai flavor that wasn't overwhelming. I would rate them 10/10. The bark potatoes were also fantastic, and they serve a great cup of coffee. Supporting a local business while traveling is always a plus.
