Romagnoli's - Iron Mountain

When I make my own spaghetti sauce, I take the time to simmer it throughout the day with fresh ingredients like chopped onions, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, and herbs for proper seasoning. The clientele seemed quite old; I didn't see any young people in the restaurant. It seems like they serve food that appeals to what older customers are used to. If you're someone who's only had military-style cafeteria food, this might be okay for you. But if you’ve traveled the world and dined at top-quality restaurants, I strongly suggest you avoid this place. I regret taking bad recommendations from locals; there are much better options out there. Try [another restaurant], which is fantastic in comparison to this place's Italian offerings.

The dining experience was excellent, and the ambiance was beautiful. However, the service left much to be desired. I felt embarrassed for those who were waiting on us. We had three servers, yet none of them seemed to communicate with each other. After our food was delivered, none of them checked in on us. When they finally did, I asked for another glass of wine, and my partner requested more water, as he had finished his beer and his water glass was empty. When my wine finally arrived, the server asked my partner if he wanted another beer. It felt more like being in a local bar than a restaurant. We were embarrassed for everyone involved. Although the staff we interacted with were kind and not overly formal, the overall experience felt more suited for a casual pub than a dining establishment.

Our salads arrived, but the Italian dressing I requested tasted like water, and the salads looked like they had been left sitting in water all day. The mushrooms served with our steak were prepared poorly, resembling something from a can rather than being freshly sautéed. I believe the owner needs to reconsider his career path, as running a restaurant doesn't seem to suit his skills. I will never return to this restaurant again, as I feel they have terrible customer service, and the food is massively overpriced for what you receive.

We have lived, worked, and vacationed in Iron Mt., and eaten at Romagnoli's over and over again. Their Italian cuisine is the best by far of any other restaurant in the area. The red gravy is superb and the pasta cooked to perfection. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Iron Mt.

WORKED briefly at owners other restaurant ROOSTER'S as a cook, had to leave owner is what you might call a thief, WOULD not pay last paycheck and treats employees like dirt.THIS site needs a rating below terrible,for restaurants like this one.STAY away from both and save your money.
