Our first time comes and the food is DELICIOUS! Our group had fish tacos, turkey dill sandwich, potter pig and chicken sandwich and pommes. Everything was great. Love the picturesque setting. Easy access. Will definitely come back!
Conclusion 11. March 2022. I'll really miss this restaurant. Her food was consistently brilliant. The best wishes to the owner on his way to good health. Thank you for all the great food in a fantastic atmosphere.
Review of the ARRIVAL When I went to the door of Olio, I immediately felt as if I could speak loud like a wealthy businessman, although I am usually reserved. There was something about the atmosphere that both an overwhelming urge to do as if I were rich, and yet at the same time it was intimidatingly comfortable as if I ordered a picture perfect BigMac from McDonalds. I sat at a table next to the entrance overlooking the window in the trendy downtown Jacksonville, Florida city area. I was lost. I didn't see waiters or waiters. I saw no one who took part in the other girls. I immediately assumed that this place has the worst customer service ever. And so started my journey into which she loves me She doesn't love me relationship with Olio who ended up in her loves me. I have not read the QR-Code fine print instructions that marched around the edge of the well-maintained QR code that was heephase in the middle of the table. Only if a fellow person pointed out that you need to order on your phone, I disturbed the instructions to read. I pulled out my IPhone 11, opened the camera and scanned the code. It brought me to Olio's website where I could order the food online. It took 10 minutes before I could scan my credit card to order the Salmon Spinach Salad. She doesn't love me. WATER After I had ordered the salad, I sat there and played with my phone to pass the time. In what like 2 minutes seemed (but was clearly a little longer), my food came to the table via a very pleasant waitress or food supplier? I mean, a waitress is waiting for the table? But I'm digressing. She loves me. WAREN I sneaked down at the beautiful sea salmon and just felt like I immediately threw it down! I can't explain it. Apparently, the cook has a fantastic feeling of eating appearance and despair. Because, although I tasted the warm salmon floating on a bed of vibrant greens with red colors, I felt as if it should be eaten as soon as possible. The taste was slightly fishy, and in my experience slightly fishy does not mean as fresh as possible. It was a good court, not a good court. She doesn't love me. After the Salmon Salad something strange happened... Unlike a restaurant, unlike a fast food chain, I felt very comfortable ordering more food to bring me like a prince. All I had to do was press the order button on my iPhone! So, as I scanned through the menu, I pressed. I added Fish Tacos, Butternut Squash Soup and their grilled cheese with Ente Sandwich. I ordered. The prices were so fantastic that I had to force myself to understand that there was no way to eat everything. The salmon was maybe a little fishy, but I knew quality cooking. I hit the jackpot. I didn't think the butternut squash soup would be so great, so I started. I felt that fish tacos are traditionally not so spectacular. I thought I would leave the theoretical real MVP- the Duck Grilled Cheese Sandwich for the last time so that I could at least finish the day with a bang. When I tasted the soup, I sat still for at least 30 seconds. That wasn't a good soup. It was incredibly brilliant! I never tasted that! It was sweet and richly tasting. I think this soup has magic powers. I finally left the new MVP. I tried Fish Taco. The Fish Tacos suddenly disappeared as if they were kidnapped by aliens. I can't even describe the flavors that have been blended immaculately in this dish. Gordon Ramsey would have been proud or intimidated. I can't get the Fish Tacos out of my head. I need her. The Duck Grilled Cheese Sandwich was not almost as spectacular as the tacos and soup. If I had eaten it, it would have been great. But like a decent speaker who comes after a hype man, it fell flat due to the food tasting sequence. I met the cooking owner. He was extremely nice and should be very proud. Olio has the potential to be a historical landmark of Jacksonville. She loves me.
I've been patronizing Olio since they've opened. One of my favorite restaurants downtown! The lunch rush during the weekdays can get busy. However, it is worth the wait. I typically order the shrimp and avocado tacos (my fave)! The shrimp are battered and crispy. The fries are fantastic... crispy and thick cut with a super delicious garlic aioli dipping sauce. The famous duck grilled cheese is awesome, and so is the cheesesteak. You can't go wrong with the daily specials. Finding available metered parking nearby can be difficult, but again they're worth the trip.
