Something Else Restaurant - Jasper

Good varied menu suiting most tastes. Great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Good location in town.

We've just come from dinner at Something Else restaurant in Jasper. Nice, comfortable place to go, quick, friendly and attentive staff. We had reservations so we got a great booth, raised a little off the main floor. My 12 year old ordered the only appy - Calamari, and it arrived in less than 5 minutes! It was old style, good and crispy with amazing tzatziki sauce! Excellent! Then he had lasagna for his main, I had the lamb souvlaki dinner and my mom had the 8 oz rib eye steak dinner. My son loved his lasagna (my mom and I tried it and it was ok, but tasted quite different from any we've had before - not to say it wasn't good, just not my favourite. Doesn't really matter because my son loved it.)My lamb souvlaki dinner was excellent. Thank you! I asked for a second tub of tzatziki to go with my dinner and that just made it perfect for me.Unfortunately my moms steak was really really gristly. She said it tasted good, and to see it, it was cooked to perfection, however I've never seen my mother have to (daintily) remove the chewed up meat and put it back on the side of the plate. She wasn't going to say anything, but finally did. They offered to immediately get her something else but she had pretty much filled up with the veggies and potatoes and nibbling our meals. Too bad as she was looking forward to a good steak. I think it was just bad luck - not the restaurants fault. AND, note, that they gave her 1/2 off her dinner which was very fair.We'd definately go back if ever in Jasper again. One of those places where everything smells so good when you walk in the door, and we noticed that it looks like a family run restaurant. We might be wrong, but that was the atmosphere and it was very welcoming. We definately recommend something Else.

We enjoyed the meal at Something Else. We recommend everyone to go eat there. We are always satisfied with our choices. Good portions and the food is tasty. Always good. Thanks to the owners!

Had a really good meal here. Waitress was friendly and welcoming. Service quick and polite. Food tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back here. Highly recommended.
