Luigi's Gourmet Express - Johnston

I really enjoy their food. Great pastas and eggplant. Typical local Italian food. Nothing OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you're needing to cater for an office party it's a great spot to please all pallets with out going too far from the conventional Rhode Island Italian.

Older restaurant, little loud on Saturdays. Polenta was delicious. Enjoyed the Arancini as well. Pasta was the grilled chicken Valdostana. Delicious tasting and service was attentive. Sangria had a nice sweet taste.

I came to Luigi's for a friend's baby shower and was pleasantly surprised by the space as well as the food. Since it was a large gathering, the food was served buffet style, but the staff were very attentive to ensure that the food was brought out in small batches and constantly refreshed. It was a nice breakfast spread of various pastries, breakfast options, and some pasta dishes. There was a coffee bar as well as juice options, and alcoholic beverages. To wrap everything up, there was an assortment of tasty little desserts, my favorite of which was their version of a lemon cake. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be a spot that I could see myself hosting an event.

I wish I could give 10 stars! Luigi's did a beautiful job catering my daughter's baby shower. The guests are still raving about the delicious food and quality of service! Our server Jamie called the day before to see if we had any special requests and informed us about her arrival. My guests kept on raving about Jamie's expertise in serving, cleaning up, packaging up leftovers and even helped with us taking down the decorations and balloons after the guests had left! Don't spend your time looking for or comparing other caterers make you event planning easy and get the best to begin with! You and your guests will be amazed!

I went with a group of six friends, we made reservations, and they were ready for us. When we got there, the weight staff was extremely courteous and attentive to all of our needs, the restaurant has many selections of many different types of food, the hardest thing was picking what we wanted to eat, all of us got something different and everything was amazing, you cannot go wrong with any of the dishes, and they also had entertainment outside for the evening, I highly recommend Luigi's for a great night out, great food, and a very good value
