Parry's Pizzeria Taphouse - Johnstown

My group ordered mac and cheese, pizza, calzone, and a burger. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was quite bland and arrived lukewarm—definitely needed more flavor, which left me disappointed. The pizza was average at best; you'd expect better from a pizzeria. The calzone was probably the standout dish among our orders. However, both the pizza and calzone took about 15 minutes to reach our table, arriving well after the rest of our entrees. The drinks from the bar took a long time to come as well—around 20 minutes. Overall, I don’t think I would return. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the food didn't live up to expectations and felt overpriced.

I ordered food online and was initially informed it would be ready in 20 minutes. However, it actually took 40 minutes for our order to be prepared. When we finally received our to-go order, we realized an item was missing and had to wait for that as well. I wish the online preparation times were accurate, as waiting an extra amount of time was challenging, especially with a child. Once we got home, the food was just okay, and we live less than 5 minutes away.

After we left, I realized I felt quite stressed for a few hours, likely due to the high noise level. I noticed that the waitstaff seemed friendly but also a bit overwhelmed. My suggestion would be to consider hiring an interior designer to address the acoustics, while keeping in mind fire safety and overall aesthetics.

Parry?s was a great stop for dinner and a drink. They have over 100 brews on tap. The pizza is tasty and they have a few different combinations of flavours. They let you split the flavour on a pizza. We got the Brooklyn BBQ and The Pearl. Theserver was also helpful in deciding what we should go with.

This place is really nice. Their pizza is really good. Service was great as well. If I get the chance I will definitely come back!
