Taqueria El Corazon - Kaslo

A stones throw away from the Grande Boulevards Metro station (line 8) on the side street 20 Rue Richer you find La Parenthèse home of the grilled cheese.

It was a very nice surprise. We came in without knowing what to expect. The food was quite good and the service appreciated. I would definitely recommend it !

Had a great trip to Kaslo area & part of the fun was El Corazon. We were out past 11PM and low & behold El C was open for business.Not just the bar but the kitchen too. Good conversation, good environment, good food & nice wine selection.

We love the Kaslo Hotel's deck facing the lake, but their kitchen was closed that day. Checking out the alternatives, we thought this place looked the best bet. Wow! It's fantastic. The owner has apparently been serving out of the kitchen door for a few years now, but they recently opened up a nice room and installed a roofed patio outside. The patio was a great place to sit on a hot afternoon: shade and a strong breeze kept us comfortable. And it has a view of the lake at the end of the street. The food was excellent and authentic. We had starters of queso fundido & guacamole, then a variety of tacos & tostadas. With drinks, the bill came to just shy of $80. Great value! The tortillas are made on the premises. They use organic & local ingredients where possible. The servers were friendly & helpful. Their advertised business hours seem out of date: we were there on a Monday for lunch & they were open!
