Thunderhead Brewing - Kearney

What a fantastic little spot! We sampled three different flights of beer, and we loved nearly all of them. Our top picks were the Honey Wheat, Peach Wheat, and Lavender Kolsch. The Thunderhead pizza was absolutely delicious—we really wished we had ordered the larger size! We also had the nachos, but next time we would definitely opt for a second pizza instead of the nachos.

Delicious pizzas and nachos with generous portions. My wife and I each ordered a flight of their seasonal and limited craft beers, which had amazing flavors. It was enjoyable to take notes on each one as we tasted them. The restaurant is also very kid-friendly; we brought our 10-year-old daughter with us. They offer daily specials, so we left with two six-packs that we could mix and match, plus we enjoyed a dollar off each six-pack thanks to the special. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy exploring local craft beers!

This taphouse has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike some places that make you feel uninformed for thinking IPAs taste like Pine Sol, Thunderhead is different. The bartender was incredibly helpful to my friend, who couldn't tell a hefeweizen from a porter, and still took the time to answer all my questions. We didn't get a chance to try the pizza, as we had other plans, but it looked fantastic. If we were staying in Kearney for another day, we definitely would have made time for their pizza.

Amazing! we were in town for the cranes and landed in this local gem. super wide selection of beer (lavendel beer,! extremely friendly staff, cheap prices and good food. will definitely be in town next time!

The pizza, cheesebread and beer are 5 stars. some of the other elements in the menu are not almost as good. in the round when they order something high in carbs it will be excellent. salates, kartoffels and this type of dingen are best average. give them 5 stars, because for the things I order they are excellent.
