I have passed by this restaurant many times without going in, but a few weeks ago I decided to stop in and have a cup of tea. I can't resist the old world charm of this place that reminds me of an American diner. The tea was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. I have also tried their food and it has a distinct taste that I couldn't forget. The chips were especially delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and it's a good sign when the lady behind the counter turns on the kettle as soon as she sees me walk in. The tables are always clean and the background music sets a beautiful ambiance.
There are a lot of other small restaurants, kebab places, etc. in the area that offer cheaper prices and bigger portions that are worth checking out. Abra Kebabra is a basic fast food restaurant that is a bit on the pricier side. The food is good quality, but the prices are not justified. When my husband and I were in town and feeling hungry, we ordered a meal which included a kebab pack and a spicy taco. We finished our food, but we were still left feeling hungry.
I don't like writing negative reviews, but I have to be honest about my experience at this restaurant. The food was terrible - it tasted like it had been reheated multiple times and I felt sick after eating it. The atmosphere was outdated and not very clean. The service was mediocre at best, maybe a 2 out of 5. Overall, I don't think this restaurant should still be in business.
