M & M Fish & Chips - Kirkland Lake

M & M Chip Stand is a good seasonal choice for basic takeout fast food... burgers, fish & chips, poutine, hot dogs, etc. Menu is posted on the wall, and also available as a take-away printed version. (As a convenience, if you are in a hurry you can call ahead with your order to minimize waiting time.) The burger choice is greater than at many other roadside stands... and tasty; definitely better than most of the chain restaurants. Prices are in line with other roadside stands. On-site seating is minimal... a single park bench in a non-scenic ambiance. Counter service is friendly. On my most recent visit I ordered the Fish Dinner ($8.50) with an extra piece of fish ($5.50). The dinner includes a single onion ring in addition to the usual fish and fries. The fish was very good... a 5 oz haddock filet with English style batter crisp and not too thick. Very good crisp onion ring. Fries were disappointing, limp and soggy in the middle. Next time I'd order just the fish, skip the fries. All-in-all, a Good choice for basic take-out... especially with the call ahead ordering option.

Food is good,service is good, it's fairly quick....meals times any place will always have lil longer wait time.

Always the best place for burgers, the big T is the best, good customer service! Always greeted with smiles. They also have the best fries around!

Awesome place to eat! Need to go early cause of the line ups! Only with they took debit/credit card.

Je trouve que la bouffe est moyenne, mais le service super lent. Presque 20 minutes pour une frite et surtout quand tu es la seule pesonne à attendre c'est un peu long.
